Hey, y'all! I had an '82 myself and loved it! For parts, try www.kedo.com a German specialist in XT's, where you can order online. Here in Holland one can still order parts for older XT's from the Dutch Yamaha importer, as I did for my XT500 '83. Not everything is still available, but amazingly much though. So probably also parts for the XT550.
